Two hands, one goal!
The Beleduc tandem boards are a playful and challenging way to get both hands working together. Children practice mirrored and parallel movements – an important foundation for writing, drawing, and everyday activities . The flowing movements in the grooves strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration .
By following the patterns, children learn to coordinate their movements precisely. Especially with the more complex figures, this requires calmness, planning, and observation skills – precisely what's needed for learning to read and write. The activity is therefore perfectly suited for occupational therapy, motor skills training , and use in the classroom or at home .
The game consists of five wooden boards with mirror-symmetrical patterns. The individual knobs have a pin on the underside that slides smoothly through the grooves and a comfortable finger cup on the top, allowing you to operate them with one or more fingers. Because the knobs are interchangeable, you can also add larger or customized grips.

The boards increase in difficulty – from spiral to meander. First, the child moves with one hand, then the other. Once the pattern feels familiar, both hands can work simultaneously. This requires cooperation between the left and right brain hemispheres – a wonderful exercise in bilateral coordination and executive functions such as attention, sustained concentration, and planning .
