Who will be the first to close their numbers?
Shut the Box is a classic that never gets old – and now even more exciting in this two-player version ! The dice are thrown in the middle, and both players simultaneously decide which numbers to turn over. This creates a lively battle of math, strategy, and a touch of luck.
At the start, all numbers are facing up. The goal is simple: turn over as many numbers as possible. For example, if you roll a 3 and a 6, you get to choose:
- 9
- 8 and 1
- 7 and 2
- 6 and 3
- 5 and 4

One or two numbers may be turned over each turn. The same player continues to roll until they run out of options. Then, the dice are counted: how many numbers are still open? The player with the lowest score wins!

This two-player version makes things even more challenging. You respond to the same die roll, but can choose different combinations. This creates an exciting game that focuses on strategic thinking, math up to 12, concentration, and systematic action .
