Building, stacking, and playfully learning to count
Some blocks are more than just building blocks. With these stacking numbers, children build towers AND playfully discover the world of numbers.
The blocks are shaped like numbers and can be stacked on top of each other. While building, children literally see how numbers get bigger or smaller. The higher the stack, the greater the value of the number. This playfully creates an understanding of how numbers and quantities relate to each other.
Children can trace the numbers with their fingers. By tracing the shapes with their hand, they not only learn to recognize the number but also how it is written. This combination of feeling, seeing, and doing helps build a strong number sense.

By stacking, separating, and recombining the blocks, children discover step-by-step how math works. The material encourages experimentation: building towers, comparing numbers, or making small arithmetic problems visible.
- recognizing numbers without first counting
- practicing counting forwards and backward
- discovering the written form of numbers by tracing with fingers
- insight into tens and bundling into groups of ten
- hands-on practice with the four basic operations: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- developing flexible counting and number sense
- comparing numbers and understanding values
- building insight into the number line up to 100

Stacking, building, and moving the numbers also requires motor control and spatial awareness. Children see how shapes fit together and how a tower remains stable.

These stacking numbers make math tangible. By building, feeling, and discovering, numbers grow from abstract symbols into something children truly understand.
