Have fun playing with the Very Hungry Caterpillar
We all know the story of the cute little caterpillar The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The books remain popular, for years. With this toy, the caterpillar has become even more popular for Morris.
The journey of discovery started with this beautiful big caterpillar Never Enough.
For Morris
This cute vibrating animal in the design of the Very Hungry Caterpillar is an ideal toy for Morris to develop his motor skills with his arms. Morris has Cerebral Palsy and needs a lot of practice to train his motor skills in his left arm, among other things, so that he can use them in everyday life. As normal as movements with two hands are for us, these movements are so unusual for Morris. The colorful caterpillar helps Morris to stimulate the use of his left arm in combination with a nice eye-hand coordination. And for him it is super fun toy, so training while playing.
Colors, materials and sounds
This cute colorful caterpillar is more than a nice big caterpillar Never Enough. The caterpillar of course consists of the well-known colors of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. The red and green are dominant, but are nicely alternated with all kinds of other colors. The well-known dot pattern from the reading books also comes back in a ring. Speaking of rings, the body of the caterpillar consists of 8 separate rings, all in different shapes, sizes, materials. Wonderful to feel and play with. The rings can be grabbed separately, so that Morris can also use his fine motor skills on this toy. In addition to the fun colors and many rings, the toy also makes sounds. Bells in the head and fun plastic balls in one of the rings around the body. Fortunately, because Morris finds that even more interesting. Which child doesn't!
To vibrate
Of course the caterpillar is already fun as a toy and decoratively it also looks nice in the play corner, but especially the possibility that the Very Hungry Caterpillar can be made to vibrate is very special to see how Morris deals with this. For us it is easy to pull the top and bottom of the body apart to make him vibrate, for Morris it is a huge challenge to get this done. Of course we sometimes cheat and fasten the caterpillar, with the Velcro loop at the top of the head, so he can always pull on it until it vibrates, but that does not always work. It is so nice to see when the caterpillar is offered loose that two hands are needed to make the caterpillar vibrate. And what a big smile it produces when it works. Not once, not twice, but many times! Wonderful to see. But even better, with so much fun a good exercise for Morris' left arm.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar was already a favorite of our little boy, but his big favorite is now the Very Hungry Caterpillar.
As far as Morris is concerned, never enough time to play with it and for us this means never enough time to let him play with it. What a nice toy for in the house, but also for on the road. Time and time again, wherever he is, Morris is happily busy with the caterpillar. Feeling, looking at, pulling and of course cuddling. Because that is allowed, the caterpillar is also very soft.
We enjoy the very hungry caterpillar!
