Spaghetti top - handy for both hands!
Spinning tops is an activity that is rarely done these days, but is extremely important for training the hands and fingers.
The Benefits of Toll Activities for Hand and Finger Training
The name of this two-handed spinning top says it all, it is suitable for spinning with both hands. With two-handed spinning you can practice the cooperation between both hands (and thus both hemispheres of the brain) very nicely. Because both hands work together, the hemispheres of the brain are trained and connections are made between them. It is good if both hands have worked together a lot, before one hand does the (writing) work. By letting children spin a lot with this spinning top, this is practiced automatically. Breinprikkels has already tried several two-handed spinning tops, but they are often too heavy. This is a light spinning top that is very nice and easy to get moving. Recommended!

Tip: Have the child move their right hand away from them and their left hand toward them.
When children have done a lot of two-handed spinning, you can also let them spin one-handed. It is important that children use the three fingers that they also need for writing. The thumb, the index finger and the middle finger.
Brain stimulation tip: If children find this difficult, have them point their fingers downwards so that they can grab the top's stem from above. This ultimately also stimulates the development of a proper pencil grip. There are some really fun tops for this. The reversible top, for example, is a top that continues to challenge children. When you turn it properly, it turns all the way around and eventually spins on its stem.
Children find spinning tops very fun and challenging, but often there are no spinning tops available. Breinprikkels hopes to challenge you to purchase all kinds of spinning tops and challenge the children!
