Fascinating glow in the dark Hoberman: always within reach!

The glow-in-the-dark 'Hoberman mini Sphere' is always at hand and is frequently used in my children's practice. That's why I'd like to tell you more about it.
The 'Hoberman Sphere' is an amazing expandable ball and is a favorite with both children and adults. This ball owes its name to its inventor and its shape. It was invented in the 1980s by American Chuck Hoberman, and the word "sphere" means a spherical object. With a scissor-like motion, you can expand and contract the ball.
Children are always amazed as they fold the Hoberman in and out. That such a small ball (the mini is 14 cm when folded) can become so much larger (30 cm when unfolded) is truly fascinating. They fold it in and out repeatedly, watching with wide eyes to see what will happen. Some children immediately investigate how it works, while others find the folding and unfolding exciting enough.
In my practice, I use the Hoberman at various times, for example:
• overstimulated or restless children, watching it fold in and out at a certain rhythm has a calming effect
• making calm children more alert by throwing and watching the patterns in the Hoberman
• breathing exercises
• children who need to sit or lie still for a moment
• eye-tracking movements
• practicing focus
• throwing it back and forth, catching it at the right moment
• throwing and catching to relax in between
• throwing it up and catching it yourself
• question and answer games that combine cognitive and motor skills
• in bootcamps, during assignments
The bonus of the glow-in-the-dark Hoberman is that you can throw it around in the dark... how exciting!
I am very happy with the Hoberman in my practice and use it daily.
